Liberty Seguros is arguably the strongest team from Spain, with the three time Vuelta winner Roberto Heras off of the team, and the excellent transfer of Alexandre Vinokourov from T-Mobile, make this as a team for the tours.
Beloki was a regular on the podium at the Tour before his crash three years ago. Liberty will use Beloki as one of the leaders for the big tours, and will send him to the next Giro
in order to test his performance before starting the Tour de France. Järg Jaksche is also a good bet for a high place in a big stage race.
The team is a bit lightweight for the Classics, but has David Etxebarria, Michele Scarponi and Australian Allan Davis, all could do something. Manolo Saiz who is well known for his outbursts, but must be one of the best directors in the peloton runs the team.
Liberty Seguros is the Spanish section of the American Liberty Insurance company, it has 28 riders, 58% are Spanish and average age is 26 years old. The team bikes are BH with Campagnolo components.
